Back in January 2007, Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone at the Macworld Expo. Later that year, in June 2007, Apple began selling the iPhone. Ten years later Apple has now sold over 1 billion iPhones to customers around the world.
iPhone sales continued to increase on an annual basis until the smartphone encountered its first ever decline in 2016.
“iPhone is an essential part of our customers’ lives, and today more than ever it is redefining the way we communicate, entertain, work and live,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “iPhone set the standard for mobile computing in its first decade and we are just getting started. The best is yet to come.”
Three years later, in July 2010, FileMaker released FileMaker Go for iOS. This was supported on iPhone, iPad and iPod. The release of FileMaker Go made it easier than ever for businesses to build and release applications to it’s users.
Almost seven years later since the release of FileMaker Go and today we have FileMaker Go 15. This was released in May 2016. FileMaker Go 15 brings us features like Touch ID, 3D Touch, iBeacons and more.
We hope to see the same great developments from FileMaker as the iPhone evolves over the years to come.
