FileMaker makes it easy to setup security for your solutions to control access of your files.
You can configure FileMaker to automatically log in using specific credentials so that you aren’t prompted to enter the user name and password every time you open the file.
But what if you need to log into a file with a different account name and password? You can make the login screen appear for FileMaker Pro files on iOS, Mac and Windows by using the following actions:
|iOS||Tap and hold the file for a few seconds. When you release you will be prompted to enter in an account name or password or, if applicable, log in as a guest.|
|Mac||Hold down the OPTION key when opening up a FileMaker Pro file.|
|Windows||Hold down the SHIFT key when opening up a FileMaker Pro file.|
This behavior works for both hosted / shared files and single-user files. In addition, on iOS this behavior works for files that have been copied locally to your device.Add to favorites
